CHOOSING A HIKING TRAIL

Each pilgrim or group of pilgrims chooses the route that best suits their journey. That is why the general itinerary has been revised in great detail.

It will be updated regularly. Please check back often. Similarly, each pilgrim or group of pilgrims will make their own reservations along the KAPOAH-Québec (Canada) Camino de Santiago route they have chosen.

Don’t forget to register to obtain the PASSPORT. This document validates your various reservations and confirms your status as pilgrims when you arrive at the various lodging facilities.

Hikes for Families

Some trails have been specially selected for families with children. They feature minimal elevation gain and an accessible level of difficulty, allowing you to walk for a few hours at a leisurely pace without excessive exertion. These trails are perfectly suited for young hikers and, in many cases, can even be navigated with an all-terrain stroller. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the spirit of pilgrimage as a family, surrounded by inspiring and rejuvenating landscapes.

The Kapoah trails recommended for families start from Lac-Bouchette, Saint-André, orAlma, and on the Côte-de-Beaupré side, there are trails starting from Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré orL’Ange-Gardien.

Please also note that Marguerite Bourbeau organizes an annual pilgrimage for families, departing from Saint-Hilarion and Baie-Saint-Paul.

Wheelchair Hikes with Your Guide

Some trails are accessible to people in wheelchairs accompanied by a family member or friend. With no steep inclines or major obstacles, they allow visitors to enjoy the hike or pilgrimage.

The Kapoah hikes recommended for wheelchair users accompanied by others run from Jonquière to Chicoutimi and from Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré toL’Ange-Gardien. Accessible transportation can be requested from Chutes-Montmorency to Québec City.
